Job Title: Full-Time CDL Class A & B Truck Drivers

Locations: Abbeville, Lafayette, Krotz Springs & New Iberia, Louisiana Offices (but must be willing to work throughout South Louisiana)

Position Overview:

Acadiana Shell & Limestone, Inc., a locally owned and respected construction company, is seeking dedicated and experienced CDL Class A & B Truck Drivers to join our team.

We are looking to hire a dedicated dump truck driver to transport various materials to construction sites. The dump truck driver’s responsibilities include using the cranks and levers inside the truck to unload materials, supervising the loading of materials onto the truck, and inspecting the truck for any mechanical issues before and after every trip. You should also be able to safely drive and operate the truck in all weather conditions.

To be successful as a dump truck driver, you should be able to pick up and deliver materials according to a schedule. Ultimately, a top-performing dump truck driver should perform all duties in accordance with company safety rules and Department of Transportation (DOT) road safety regulations.

Must be willing to work throughout South Louisiana.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport materials such as limestone, gravel, dirt, and sand to various job sites.
  • Load and deliver construction equipment to and from locations (preferred but not required).
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials while adhering to all safety and traffic regulations.
  • Conducting daily vehicle inspections and reporting any problems
  • Complying with company and government regulations and rules
  • Communicating with dispatchers and customers
  • Performing emergency repairs like patching tires when needed

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A or B CDL License.
  • Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 3 year of CDL driving experience.
  • Must be at least 25 years old.
  • Working knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening.
  • Experience in loading and delivering construction equipment is a plus.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
