Company: Acadiana Shell & Limestone, Inc.

Location: New Iberia LA Office

Position Overview:

Acadiana Shell & Limestone, Inc., a leader in the construction and limestone industries, is currently seeking a dedicated Yard Operator to join our team. This full-time position involves a variety of responsibilities that contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of our yard facilities. If you’re a hardworking individual with a strong work ethic and attention to detail, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and Securing: Safely load dump trucks with materials such as limestone, sand, and dirt. Ensure all loads are properly secured before dispatch.
  • Culvert Handling: Load culvert pipes onto trucks, assist with securing them using straps and chains, and ensure they are safely transported.
  • Yard Maintenance: Keep the yard clean and organized, including cutting grass, weed-eating, and removing litter. Regularly push up and pile materials like limestone, sand, and dirt to maintain order.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on the wheeled loader, including greasing, fueling, and cleaning both the interior and exterior. Ensure the equipment is in top working condition at all times.
  • Office Cleaning: Assist with keeping the office area tidy, including sweeping, mopping, and taking out the trash.
  • Material Management: Unload and stack culverts, ensuring they are stored properly and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • All applicants must be able to pass a drug screen.

  • Some construction experience is a plus.

  • Basic knowledge of heavy equipment operation is a plus.
